The Medit i700 Intra-Oral Scanner is now a premium device in the value driven dental market!
In this introductory video, you can see Ms. Laura Geney and Dr. Mike Ditolla introduce the scanner in April of 2021 where she details the highlights of the scanner and its capabilities. To see more from this premiere event you can visit this link
FULL ARCH SCANS ARE EASY AND PREDICTABLE WITH MEDIT I700
Full arch scans for aligners and other appliance can be tricky with a lot of intra-oral scanners. With some sound principles and easy tutorials you can image a full arch in very little time (read more…)
Multiple Bites
Medit software allows you to capture multiple occlusal schemes. You can capture the bite bilaterally, then in the open position, and then advanced or protrusive for sleep apnea appliances. The software is very intuitive and allows you to capture up to 5 sets of occlusal relationships.
Implant Restorations
If you restore implants you have to consider Medit’s Artificial Implant Suprastructure Identification System. This short video is barely an introduction to all the capabilities that we detail in our online tutorial library and serves as a good primer. The scanner and the software recognize the scanbody, or an abutment (or any suprastructure really) while you are scanning and attach the digital version of that geometric shape to that object. What this means is that you don’t have to capture a good part of a scanbody in a pool of blood and the software does all the work for you. This also means you can find your margins sub-gingival on an abutment without ever displacing the tissue or getting hemostasis
Here are some points you need to consider before investing in digital technology that other scanners do not provide. There are multiple apps that allow for manipulation of the processed models at no additional cost. Most scanners produce models that you have to take to other software like meshmixer or exocad, but these apps allow you to manage them within the Medit Software. These include Model Builder, Smile Design, Orthodontic Simulation, Medit Compare, and the Crown Fit App. The following set of videos demonstrate what these programs can do.
